Prof. ing. Vittorio Rocco
Full Professor of Fluid-Dynamics at the University of Roma Tor Vergata, prof. Rocco is Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, teaching several undergraduate and graduate classes in the fields of fluid-dynamics and energy. He is author of over 95 publications.

Prof. ing. Franco Giannini
Since 1980 he is Full Professor of Applied Electronics, presently at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata", and Honorary Professor of the Warsaw University of Technology since 2001. He has been working on problems concerning high frequency electronics and, more recently, on problems related to the sustainable generation of energy. Prof. Giannini is a consultant for various national and international industrial and governmental organizations, including the International Telecommunication Union and the European Union and is a member of many Committees of International Scientific Conferences. Franco Giannini authored or co-authored more than three hundred and sixty scientific papers.

Prof. Aldo Di Carlo
Aldo Di Carlo is Associate Professor at the Department of Electronic Engineering of the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". The research activity concerns the study of electronic and optical properties of nanostructured devices, their analysis and optimization and the fabrication of organic electronic devices. He was involved in the realization of the "Polo per il fotovoltaico organico del lazio" (Center for Hybrid and Organic Solar Energy) CHOSE and he is actually co-director of the center. Aldo Di Carlo is European coordinator of the FP7 EU project OPTHER dedicated to the THz amplifiers based on vacuum nanoelectronics components and is node coordinator for the EU FP7 Project SMASH devoted to Nanowire LEDs with OSramas European Coordinator. He has been/is local scientific coordinator of several National and International projects: Two European Marie Curie Project (CLERMONT and CLERMONT II on Microcavities), European STREP Project (STIMSCAT on Polariton Lasers), MADESS II Project, (Semiconductor Optical Amplifiers), INFM-PRA Project (Experimental and theoretical investigation of optical and transport phenomena in superlattice long-wavelength infrared quantum cascade lasers), Progetto Finalizzato Nanoelettronica PF22 (Organic Semiconductor Light Emitters).

Prof. ing. Stefano Cordiner
Stefano Cordiner is Associate Professor of Machinery at the Engineering Faculty of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he teaches classes for the Environmental Engineering as well as Master and PhD programs. He is author of over 80 publications, mostly on international journals and conference proceedings. He participated to numerous national and international research projects, with both government and private companies.

Dott. ing. Vincenzo Mulone
Vincenzo Mulone is assistant professor of Machinery at the Engineering Faculty of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where he teaches machinery and renewable-power-systems classes for the Mechatronic Engineering program. He has been visiting researcher at the Aachen ITV (Institut fur Technische Verbrennung), and has been awarded of a Fulbright research scholar grant spent at the West Virginia University, Morgantown (WV). He is author of over 35 publications, mostly on international journals and conference proceedings. He participated to numerous national and international research projects, with both government and private companies.

Dott.ssa Ing. Francesca Brunetti
Francesca Brunetti is Assistant Professor at the Engineering Faculty of the University of Rome Tor Vergata, department of Electronic Engineering. She is author of over 30 publications, mostly on international journals and conference proceedings. She participated to numerous national and international research projects, with both government and private companies. She holds four international patents.

Dott. Alessio D’Amato
Assistant Professor (Ricercatore) at the University of Rome "Tor Vergata". He teaches Public Economics, Environmental Economics, Microeconomics and Economics of Uncertainty and Information at undergraduate and graduate level. His research activity is focused on: Theory of Incentives. Environmental Regulation under Asymmetric Information. Emissions Trading and their implementation. Optimal Pricing and Use of Natural Resources. He has coauthored (with Caffarelli, De Simone and Stizza) italian influential texts on Solar and Wind Energy engineering and management :
“Sistemi solari fotovoltaici: progettazione e valutazione economica in conto energia” and “Sistemi eolici: progettazione e valutazione economica”, Maggioli Editore, 2009.

Dott. ing. Giovanna de Simone
Giovanna De Simone is PhD candidate in energy-environmental engineering at the University of Rome Tor Vergata, where she is involved in several research projects on energy conversion, from both fossil and renewable sources. She is author of 3 publications.

Dott. ing. Giulio de Simone
Giulio De Simone teaches the photovoltaic system design class at the photovoltaic engineering master program of the University of Rome Tor Vergata – www.masterpv.org. He also has been teaching numerous educational programs on both photovoltaic and eolic power system design, organized by Engineering Associations and other organizations. He got is PhD in energy-environmental engineering from the University of Rome Tor Vergata, and currently he is involved in design activities on renewable power systems. He is coauthor of
“Sistemi solari fotovoltaici: progettazione e valutazione economica in conto energia” and “Sistemi eolici: progettazione e valutazione economica”, Maggioli Editore, 2009. He is also author of numerous publications on international journals and conference proceedings. He is an internationally renowned expert in the field of eolic power plant siting, among the 109 users in the world who are accredited by Risoe to certify eolic power plant producibility with the WaSP software.

Dott. ing. Mario Stizza
Mario Stizza was an ENEA employee, responsible for the energy-environmental sector of Marche region. From 1996 on he has been consultant for the public sector, and private companies in the field of renewable power systems. He has gained considerable experience in the field of renewable power plant authorization. He is coauthor of
“Sistemi solari fotovoltaici: progettazione e valutazione economica in conto energia” and “Sistemi eolici: progettazione e valutazione economica”, Maggioli Editore, 2009. He has also been teaching numerous educational programs on both photovoltaic and hydroelectric power system design, organized by Professional Associations and other organizations. He has also been teaching energy-related classes at the University of Camerino.

Dott. ing. Alessandro Caffarelli
Alessandro Caffarelli was electric system expert and inspector on behalf of the Italian Economic Development Ministry (DPR462/2001). He currently works as a designer of renewable power systems. He has been teaching photovoltaic power systems classes at the CIRPS consortium at the University of Rome La Sapienza, in the context of educational programs supported by Regione Lazio and Provincia di Roma. He has also been teaching numerous educational programs on both photovoltaic and eolic power system design, organized by Engineering Associations and other organizations. He is coauthor of “Sistemi solari fotovoltaici: progettazione e valutazione economica in conto energia” and “Sistemi eolici: progettazione e valutazione economica”, Maggioli Editore, 2009.

Avv. Cristiana Copponi
Cristiana Copponi is lawyer and member of Eurojuris. She is expert on renewables, and she has gained specific skills on law regulation and authorization procedures. Currently she practises law. She participated to numerous educational programs, including the Master in “renewable energy law”. She has been cooperating with “Il Sole 24 Ore”.

Avv. Mario Araneo
Mario Araneo was consultant for the “Dipartimento della Funzione Pubblica” at the “Presidenza del Consiglio di Ministri”. He practises law, with specific attention to administrative and energy-related law. Recently, he acquired relevant experience in the field of renewable energy, in terms of eolic and photovoltaic power plants, taking care of both consulting and administrative cases. He has been teaching administrative law for Formez, Cisselform, Praxi S.p.A.

Dott. Paolo Stizza
Paolo Stizza is graduate in both economics and law. He practises commercial law, and he got specific skills on international fiscal law. He is a PhD candidate at the University of Bergamo, and cooperates with the Universities of Bergamo, Brescia and Macerata. He has been teaching classes on fiscal topics, and he is author of several papers on fiscal-business topics published on national and international journals. He has been cooperating with prof. Uckmar in Milano.

PhD. dott. Ing. Alessandro Zanini
Mechanical Engineer, Ph.D. in “Mechanical System Design” at University of Rome “Tor Vergata”, and expert in renewable energy plant design, with particular regard to structural and mechanical aspects. He has achieved the second level Master on “Photovoltaic Engineering” at University of Rome “Tor Vergata”. He has also attended training courses on energy management and renewable energy plant design. He was involved in many project regarding energy plant design and he is author of several national and international scientific publications.

Dott. Ing. Alessandro Ortu
Alessandro Ortu is an electronic engineer specialized in electronic control system for biaxial solar tracking. He gained experience in design of PV and CPV (Concentrating Photovoltaics) systems trough experiences in private companies and Tor Vergata University. He has collaborated on European Projects for concentrating PV with Research Institute such as Fraunhofer Institute, Tel Aviv University, Enea, Ansaldo and CESI. He has been teacher of several courses about Photovoltaic Design for private companies. In the year 2006-2007 he has been Research Scholar by the university of Pennsylvania, and he is author of several papers published on international journals.

Dott. ing. Carmen Distante
Master of Science in industrial engineering at University of Rome Tor Vergata, Carmen Distante is specialized in design of renewable energy production plants. She also has experience on topography and CAD/GIS software usage. She attended several training courses on design of renewable energy production plants.

Dott. ing. Angelo Andreotti
Environmental Engineer, he has achieved the second level Master on "Photovoltaic Engineering" at University of Rome "Tor Vergata". Angelo Andreotti is specialized on design and environmental assessment of renewable energy production plants, especially photovoltaic plants. He has attended many training courses on energy management and renewable energy plant design.

Dott. ing. Antonio Russo
Electronic Engineer at University of Rome "Tor Vergata". Antonio Russo is specialized on design of renewable energy production plants, especially on electric and electronic design. He has attended many training courses on energy management and renewable energy plant design.
